What, another food blog? Surely there are more than enough in this world already? Possibly... or possibly not. This blog is largely about providing you, the reader, with seasonal fruit and vegetable recipes - and lots of them. When you have courgettes, you don’t just want one or two courgette recipes, you want a LOT of courgette recipes...
… or else recipes that use a LOT of courgettes. And preferably a marrow recipe or two.
The same goes for kale, silverbeet, tomatoes, broad beans, plums, blackcurrants or whatever items happen to grow well in your region.
This blog will include a lot of fruit and vegetable recipes, but I’m not a vegetarian, and I like pretty much all food that you can make at home, so I’m not going to confine myself to any particular food genre. Expect the odd meaty, fishy, or sea-foody recipe, and the occasional chocolatey confection with not a scrap of garden produce in sight. If I have cooked something and enjoyed it, I’ll tell you about it. I may even tell you about some of the creations I have not enjoyed!
Where-ever possible I will tell you where the recipes (or the inspiration for the recipes) have been sourced. Unfortunately this is not always possible – we all know that recipes get passed on in all sorts of convoluted ways, and sometimes the source gets lost along the way. That’s the way with recipes – once released into the world you don’t know where they’ll end up. Hopefully a lot of the good ones will end up here.
